Description
The CRKT Gravitic Flip™ lightweight, clever, and endlessly fidgetable, a manual Out-The-Front (OTF) knife with modern mechanical ingenuity reinterpreting the vintage ‘Flip It’ concept of yesteryear. Unlike spring-driven OTF knives, it uses a vintage-inspired flip-insert mechanism powered by magnets and a swinging bar, without any springs or buttons. A quick flick sends the double-edged spear-point blade forward, while recessed tabs lock the insert securely into the handle. When closed, hidden magnets keep the blade safely seated, delivering a smooth, reliable deployment, quick and one-handed once you master the skill. Minimalist design, low-profile, built for everyday carry, rides deep in the pocket with a sleek carry clip, while the integrated lanyard hole allows for personal accents.
Designed by Ted Valerio of Teval Knives in Montrose, Colorado, the Gravitic reflects a lifetime of mechanical curiosity, precision engineering, and real-world tool experience. A former law enforcement officer and SWAT sniper team leader, Valerio brings a sharp analytical eye to every design, creating knives with purpose, durability, and true mechanical integrity.
The lightweight CRKT Gravitic Flip™ proves that sometimes looking back is the best way forward.
