Arguably the best-looking Honey Badger, the Tanto Large D2 – Black & Foliage knife is recognizable by its two edges meeting at a sharp angle, creating a strong and durable tip. The clean lines and geometry of the blade reflect the Japanese word “tanto,” meaning “short sword” or “dagger.” Tantos are excellent tactical knives, ideal for any application requiring a strong, piercing tip.

That durable tip and strong robust point make it good for piercing tough objects. While most modern uses of a tanto do not carry over from the traditional use as an armor puncturing tool they can still feasible to great effect on day-to-day tasks.

The Tanto Large D2 – Black & Foliage blade is made from D2 tool steel and finished in Black PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition). The PVD layer is more than cosmetic — it forms a very hard protective barrier that resists scratching and abrasion and improves the blade’s corrosion resistance, so the knife stays reliable and good-looking through heavy, everyday use.
